(1994-2000) Starting with a small downtown Vancouver location, Tamara launched her own jewelery design label and manufacturing company under the name Object Design.
(2000-2002) Tamara relocated to Kitsilano’s 4th avenue shopping district, with the vision of promoting, showcasing and selling the work of independent, contemporary metal and craft jewelery artists. The Object Design Gallery concept was successfully launched in 2000. Starting with four local artists renting benches and displaying their work, the gallery continued to attract the talents of local and international jewelers as well as a variety of other artists specializing in photography, wood and glass mediums. The 4th Avenue gallery housed and/or represented the works of over 50 artisans by 2002.
(2002-2008) Having outgrown the space on 4th Avenue, The Object Design Gallery took up residence in the thriving arts community on Granville Island. The Creekside Building location was transformed into a two level showroom and jewelery workshop renowned for its expert jewelers and goldsmiths as well as its customized design and manufacturing work using silver, gold, titanium, copper and platinum. Never one to rest on her heels, Tamara further built the business to include over 150 artisans producing some of the most diverse and exciting wearable art available in Canada. Tamara left the Object Design Gallery in October 2008 in order to further explore her own creativity and experiment with new techniques in a more private studio setting.
